Another Reason To Say No To Plastic

A bird nest in winter. Birds use all sorts of materials for nest building—twigs, grass, mud, moss, pine needles. And sometimes, sadly, plastic.

This plastic string was still so strong I couldn’t break it. Just good fortune that no baby birds got wound up and snagged in it.

Just another reason to say no to plastic. Trying to cut down on plastic? Think about the “big four” which are plastic bags (take your own), plastic cups (take your own), plastic takeaway containers (take your own) and plastic straws. It’s throwaway trash for us, life and death for wildlife.
